Yes, it is a cherry pitter. (Mainly for sour cherries for baking.)
You put your first 2 fingers in the side loops and your thumb in the top loop.
Pull up the top loop with your thumb, insert a cherrry in the space, and push.
(Almost like giving an injection.) The cherry pit pops out.
Repeat about 500 times, and you’re on your way to dessert!
(A chopstick would also work; that’s what I prefer.)
I have been trying to find out what the tool I have and now I know it is a cherry picker. I have had this for about 60 years it belongto my grandmother. Thank you
Just wrote to you about my similar tool. After looking at the one I have there is a difference. Mine is a much more danity and does not have the lower prongs that bow out. other wise it is close. I wish I knew what mine was for. Some have told me that it was for making lace but I really donk know. I do like your doll that you are making. Thanks again for being close.
